Return to Work Safely Protocol, Workplace Health and Safety, 9th May 2020-The Return to Work Safely Protocol is designed to support employers and workers to put measures in place that will prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the workplace, when the economy begins to slowly open up, following the temporary closure of most businesses during the worst phase of the current pandemic.
Roadmap for reopening society and business-There are 5 phases in the Roadmap to ease restrictions. Each phase consists of a menu of options will be considered by government as it gradually opens up economic and social activities. These are just predictions at this stage and will depend on the medical advice from the National Public Health Emergency Team at the time in question.
Message from Covid-19 Health Communications Stakeholder Support-In support of people cocooning at this time, RTE has launched a 15 minute programme to help older people to keep active at home. It will be broadcast daily on RTÉ One at 2.20pm. It will help viewers who are at home and some in self-isolation or cocooning and will offer tips, especially to older viewers, on how to keep healthy and happy.

CANCELLED – Caisleán Nua CCE will hold an Irish music open day in Tigh na nDaoine on Sunday March 15th 2020-Caisleán Nua CCE will hold an Irish music open day with multi award winning musician Sarah O’Gorman. We are delighted to have Sarah on board and she will launch a new music program within our branch to work with our music classes going forward. Sarah is also a qualified teacher for the Comhaltas SCT grade exams, which we will offer in the future.

St. Declan’s Way 2020 – the second Saturday in each month-Each stage is between 18 and 25km long. Only Stage 3 (Goatenbridge to Lismore) involves mountain walking. The rest are relatively flat.Payment includes refreshments at check-in, buses from check-in to walk start point, stewards and guides on the day and refreshments at sign-out (which will be back at the check-in location).
