So, from time to time we are asked to help out with some very special tasks and this one was very special and we had to keep it under wraps. Fr Michael asked us to help him move the stations of the cross, the alter, and the ambos from St Lukes Church Clonmel to St Mary’s Church Ballybacon. We sanded them down and varnished them and put them in place in the church, we also sanded and varnished the paschal candle, chair and the beautiful tabernacle and situated it on the alter, it was a privilege to be involved and it is a great time for the parishioners of Ballybacon. Thanks to Dan, Christy, John, Tony, and Jimmy for helping move everything and to Tony Murphy for his amazing work, it will be there for everyone to see for years to come – Sean Byrne BN&B CE Supervisor.
