Suir Blueway Tipperary

21km of the 53km of the beautiful Suir Blueway Tipperary is accessible by bike or foot where visitors can follow the towpath from Clonmel to Carrick On Suir . Visitors to Cahir can walk from Cahir Castle to the Swiss Cottage and vice versa, This consists of 4km walk.
Overall, The Suir Blueway is 53km where visitors can enjoy watersports trails stretching from Cahir to Carrick- On- Suir through some of Ireland’s most picturesque landscapes and fascinating medieval towns. 

Update 23 March 2020: The River Suir Blueway facility in the Village of Newcastle is partly open now. The builders fencing has been taken away for the most part. This section is a very small piece of the Suir Blueway project in Newcastle but it’s nice to see the amount of work that has been done so far. Have a look at the photos below for an idea about what it looks like. This project will continue in the future as the Suir Blueway will stretch from Cahir to Clonmel and beyond to Carrick On Suir. Suir Blueway Tipperary is the perfect escape for all the family to savour some of Ireland’s most beautiful countryside and fascinating history.
