After days of rain the flooding in Newcastle Village has come to a head. The Suir bridge is impassable and flooding on other roads has nearly cut off our village in it’s entirety. Some photos & videos below show the scene (taken by Sean Byrne).
The local Suir Blueway walking area is under water although the steps area has done it’s job and kept back the water from flooding the memorial area. (Thanks Darragh for the Drone Photos below).
